The box office results are coming in from this weekend and “Midnight in Paris” collected $579,000 from just six locations since it got a limited release in only New York and LA before going wide in the next few weeks. It’s also number #15 at the current best opening-weekend average of all time.
The movie also made already a $5,899,206 Foreign and it only opened in Spain and France so far, taking the second place in France and the first place in Spain. Congratulations to Rachel & the cast/crew! We hope it will do only better in the next weeks.
In limited release, Midnight in Paris — the new Woody Allen romantic comedy starring Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams — collected $579,000 from just six locations. Its estimated per-theater tally of $96,500 is the 15th best opening-weekend average on record, beating the likes of There Will Be Blood, The King’s Speech, and Black Swan.
Meanwhile, opening at just six locations, Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris took in an estimated $579,000, boasting the top per-location average of the year so far. That more than tripled the debut of Allen’s last movie, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (also at six locations), and marked his most impressive limited launch in decades.
I’ll be happy to start the Golden Globe noms tyvm :DDD
