“To The Wonder” Selected for Toronto International Film Festival!

It was just announced that Terrence Malick’s “To The Wonder” was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival during the press conference held earlier this morning. Variety already leaked a list before the conference, but it’s now officially confirmed! The festival is held September 6-16.

Among the films that are only North American or International Premieres, the biggest is undoubtedly Terrence Malick’s much-anticipated new film “To The Wonder,” with Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Rachel Weisz and Javier Bardem. Question of where it would premiere, or even if it would premiere at all in 2012, have been flying for some time, but the film will get its North American premiere as a Special Presentation at the festival, suggesting the long-rumored Venice bow is in the cards.

TIFF.net lists the movie as ‘Special Presentation‘. It is rumored to premiere at Venice Film Festival in August/September as well, the line-up for Venice is expected on July 26.

TIFF released a new synops with more details about the movie via their official press release. Be sure to read it below:
