Untilted Cameron Crowe Project: Casting News + Pre-Production

It was announced earlier this week that Danny McBride (“This Is the End”) has joined Rachel, Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone in the still untitled Cameron Crowe/Hawaii project. Filming is expected to start this fall, September or October depending on which source, in Hawaii.

Rachel, Bradley and Emma were all spotted doing – presumably – pre-production work for the movie yesterday. We came across several sightings of the trio visiting a laboratory. The official plot of the movie is still under wraps, but one sighting reveals that the story might be based on real events. Earlier this week The Wrap revealed the following plot outline:

An individual familiar with the project tells TheWrap that Cooper will play a defense contractor supervisor assigned to oversee the launch of a weapon satellite from Hawaii. Stone will play his Air Force liaison — a pretty, ambitious pilot — and together the duo become convinced by mystical island forces and a talking computer to help scuttle the satellite’s orbit.

Rachel is reportedly playing Bradley’s ex-girlfriend/wife and it’s still unknown which part McBride will portray.
