Favorites of 2012

Here are our favorites of this year, do you agree with them or not? If you have other favorite or additions be sure to comment below.

Best Red Carpet Look
2013 was yet another great red carpet year for Rachel and got styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. Our favorite red carpet look was for the “About Time” world premiere in London. She looked stunning in Roksanda!

Best News
The best news in our opinion is when Rachel signs on to new movies so it’s pretty difficult to pick this time because Rachel signed on to 4 new movies this year. We were probably most excited for the Untitled Cameron Crowe Project announcement.

Photoshoot
Sadly Rachel only did one photoshoot to promote “About Time” so the only shoot of 2013 is our favorite shoot.

Best Interview(s)
Rachel did not grace the cover of a magazine this year to promote the release of one of her movies. But she did attend the press junkets in London, Munich and Los Angeles to promote “About Time“. We loved the more in-depth interview she did with She Knows. All her joint interviews with Domhnall Gleeson in London are all fun to watch so it’s impossible to pick, but you can find them under the ‘About Time’ tag in our media archive. We also have to give her Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel talk show interviews an honorable mention! She got a bike from Ellen and talks about getting recognized as Regina George. She tells Jimmy Kimmel about her love for horses and her hallucinations.

Best Quote
Rachel spoke during various interviews on why she took a break in 2006. It was nice to hear her talk about why she took a break.

“Everything was happening really quickly, there were a lot of cooks in the kitchen, a lot of voices around me, and I wanted to step away so I could hear my own voice again. There was no instruction book available about how to deal with it, and also, truthfully, I never really wanted to be a big movie star. I never even wanted to work outside of Canada, or outside of the theatre.”
-Rachel McAdams, The Times UK

Best Quote on Rachel
We love how the cast and crew of “About Time” praised Rachel but we really loved all the time writer/director Richard Curtis talked about her. One of our favorite quotes is:

“I don’t think Rachel knows, but she is the greatest actress in the world. And I’ve told her that a few times. It was absolutely gorgeous and every scene it seems if though my lines were not necessary cause she just she just felt like what I wanted to say in the scene from the very beginning of the scene until the end.”
-Richard Curtis, Munich Q&A

Best Project
It’s kind of impossible to compare the 3 movies that came out this year of Rachel (“To The Wonder, “Passion” and “About Time“) but our favorite is probably “About Time“. It’s just a sweet and beautiful movie that will warm your heart. It was not a box office hit like “The Vow” in the US but it’s already grossed 85M world wide (and still counting).
