“Game Night” Details & Latest Casting News

Game Night” is expected to start filming in April in Atlanta and it looks like they are rounding up the cast. Deadline is reporting that Billy Magnussen is set to join the cast. Furthermore, they also released more details about the plot and are reporting that Rachel will be playing Annie.

Magnussen will play Ryan, a friend to Bateman and McAdams’ characters, Max and Annie. He usually dates hot millennial girls with zero personality. But Ryan brings Sarah, a smart woman of an appropriate age with personality, to game night because he’s tired of being made fun of for being shallow. Ryan is normally very selfish and superficial, but he grows to appreciate Sarah’s humor and intelligence, and falls in love with her. Jesse Plemons, Kylie Bunbury, and Lamorne Morris also star.

The comedy was written by Mark Perez and cameras roll next month in Atlanta with John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein directing. The duo also penned the most recent draft of the script. Bateman will produce with James Garavente of Aggregate Films. John Davis and John Fox are also producing for Davis Entertainment.

IMDB also recently added Joshua Mikel (The Walking Dead, Nashville) to the cast list. Several open casting calls have been published this past week looking for extras and feature roles, including casting calls published by Project Casting and AJC.com. The latter is reporting that filming will take place on March 30.
