Warner Bros released a lot of new production stills for “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” which will hit theaters December 16, 2011 in the US and UK. Rachel will reprise her role as Irene Adler but she only has a cameo/small appearance. They released however 4 high quality production stills featuring Rachel as Irene. We added the stills to our gallery.

According to PremiereRow the US premiere for the movie will be December 6 in LA and the UK premiere is December 8 in London. They listed Rachel as attending to the LA premiere, but no official confirmation. She isn’t mentioned in the official press release for the London premiere (so far).

Warner Bros released 3 new TV spots for “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” and two of them feature Rachel as Irene Adler. We added both the tv spots in our media archive. They both show a glimpse of new footage (and we actually hear Irene talk) but the second tv spot is slightly different with the same Irene footage.

Second Trailer for “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” with Irene

Warner Bros just released the second trailer for “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” with a glimpse of Rachel as Irene Adler. As you may recall the first trailer was without Irene but this one shows us a little bit of Irene. Rachel will reprise her role, but she only has a small appearance in the movie. We added the high definition captures of the trailer in our gallery and the trailer can be viewed in our media archive. The movie will hit theaters in the US and UK December 16.

“Sherlock Holmes” On Set Additions + Possible 3th Movie?

Yesterday we reported Rachel was seen with Robert Downey Jr. and Guy Ritchie on set of “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” in London. Extra Friends, an UK community for movie/television extras, is reporting they weren’t filming re-shoots but a linking scene that will connect “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” to a potential Sherlock Holmes 3. No official confirmation so far.

We also added additions to the photos we added yesterday in our gallery, including more close-ups of Rachel. Robert Downey Jr. was seen today (September 23) on set again, let’s hope we will get a glimpse of Rachel as well.

Filming “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” with Robert Downey Jr

Rachel was seen filming for “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” earlier today (September 22) with Robert Downey Jr and director Guy Ritchie in Royal Naval College, Greenwich in London. We added the first released photos in our gallery. The movie is expected to release December 16 in US/UK this year and Rachel will reprise her role as Irene Adler with a cameo/small appearance.

“Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” (Re-)Shoots

It looks like Rachel did some (re-)shoots for the upcoming “Sherlock Holmes” sequel, “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows“, in London last Saturday (September 10). We are not sure it were re-shoots or additional scene(s) but an extra posted at her Facebook page: “Rachel McAdams called me pretty today” and later added it was on set of “Sherlock Holmes 2“.

Warner Bros released the first trailer for the movie a few weeks ago, but no sign of Rachel/Irene Adler since she only has a small appearance in the movie. The movie will be released December 16th of this year.

Press Highlights: SH2, The Vow & Twitter

There isn’t much to update you on lately. Rachel is done with promoting “Midnight in Paris” and there is still no confirmation on the ‘in development’ projects like “Luna“, “The Silver Linings Playbook” and “Ecstasia“. But here are some press highlights from this week.

• The first official trailer for “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” was released yesterday. It aired on Entertainment tonight and was released via Itunes afterwards. You can watch and download the trailer via this link. The official website is also up, with a temporary version. Rachel only has a cameo (small part) in the movie, so we didn’t get any footage of Rachel as Irene Adler in the trailer.

• Scott Speedman recently talked to Movie Web about one of his recent movies, but he also talked a little bit about “The Vow” and his character. We added the quote to our “The Vow” information page.

Can you talk about your character in The Vow at all?
My character in The Vow is I’m Rachel McAdams’ ex-fiancee. She loses her memory in the movie and she can’t remember her current husband, Channing Tatum, but she remembers me, so she goes back to her old life and we kind of spark things up a little bit. It’s a good character, a bit different than the stuff I’ve usually done, which was interesting for me to do. It was great to work with all those people.

• We can also report Rachel does not have a twitter account. Michael Sheen, her “Midnight in Paris” co-star, confirmed himself a few hours ago she doesn’t have a twitter account when someone asked him. You can follow our twitter account @rachelmonline.

• “Midnight in Paris” still goes strong in the US. It’s still in the top 12 after being released in May, and it’s on it’s way to be Woody Allen’s highest-grossing movie ever!

Rounding out the Top 12, Midnight in Paris declined 26 percent to $2.6 million. With a total of $38.6 million, it’s now a lock to pass Hannah and Her Sisters ($40.1 million) to become director Woody Allen’s highest-grossing movie ever.
