“To The Wonder” US Reviews Round-Up

We already made a round-up of the reviews for “To The Wonder” after the Venice Film Festival and UK release but since the movie is opening in the US today we thought it would be nice to make a round-up with US reviews as well.

The movie is getting mixed reviews from the US critics, but if Rachel’s performance is mentioned then her performance is generally praised.

“Kurylenko and McAdams are luminous as they bask in the glow of love when it is warm, and full of angst when it goes cold. And young Tatiana Chiline is just a delight. The camera loves the women, lingering, perhaps a little too long as they spin and dance through open fields of grains and grasses and flowers.”

“To The Wonder” Premiere Additions

We added a lot more additions of Rachel during the premiere night of “To The Wonder” in West Hollywood. She looked stunning in a black Maria Lucia Hohan dress, Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Neil Lane jewelry. Many thanks to my friend Nicole from Adoring Emilia Clark, Jenna-Louise Colema Online and for donating the high quality photos to us.

Fun fact: Rachel was photographed during the after party with her “Red Eye” director Wes Craven.

“To The Wonder” Premiere

Rachel attended the red carpet premiere for “To The Wonder” yesterday (April 9) alongside her co-stars Ben Affleck and Olga Kurylenko. The first photos are added in our gallery, but we expect more additions later on so keep checking back.

Mo 4/8: Rachel McAdams, Kelly Oxford, Kid Rock

I have to admit, I’m pleasantly surprised when I saw this. I wasn’t expecting promotion of Rachel for this movie since her screen time is between 10-15 (judging on the reviews). Let’s hope she will do more promotion for the movie next week!

Magnolia Pictures released 5 movie clips of “To The Wonder” today including the first clip featuring Rachel. We added the clip in our media archive. You can watch the other clips over here.

“To The Wonder” also gets a VOD Release

Magnolia Pictures has announced today that “To The Wonder” will get a VOD (Video On Demand) release in the US on the same day it will hit selected theaters: on April 12. For more information about Magnolia’s VOD releases be sure to head over to their official website.

In a sign of the times, Magnolia Pictures will release Terrence Malick’s “To the Wonder” both in theaters (April 12) but also ay and date via Video on Demand. The film, starring Ben Affleck, Olga Kurlylenko, Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams, showed initially at the Venice and Toronto festivals last year, and was acquired by Magnolia shortly thereafter.

Like “Melancholia,” confirms Magnolia President Eamonn Bowles, “To the Wonder” will qualify for the 2013 Oscars. The company anticipates expanding the film to a level similar to most of their releases. “Melancholia” at its widest point played at 134 theaters.

The movie is already released in selected theaters in the UK and France last month. You can find a list of the US theaters on the movie’s official website. This is the first movie for Rachel that will get a VOD release.
