We have added the magazine scans, photoshoot outtakes and high definition screencaptures in our gallery. The interview can be found in our press archive.

On how she wants to be remembered: “I would like to be remembered for kindness.”

On how she finds the emotional core of a character: “When I feel lost, I try to remind myself that’s a good thing. Often when I’ve been lost in the past, some of my most interesting work happens”

Rachel & Sacha Pfeiffer Stop by the Today Show

Rachel stopped by NBC’s the Today Show earlier this week on December 1 to pre-record her Today Show segment alongside Sacha Pfeiffer to promote “Spotlight“. As you might know, Rachel is portraying Sacha in the movie. The segment aired yesterday, which was unannounced. Rachel and Sacha were scheduled to make an appearance on the show last month, but we assume it got rescheduled to this week. We have added the interview in our video archive and the official stills and high definition screencaptures can be found in our gallery.

2015 Toronto International Film Festival Video Coverage

The first released video coverage of Rachel during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival have been added in our video archive, including the first press junket interviews. Thanks to my friend Amanda for helping out. The film festival closes today and Rachel was on double festival duty with “Every Thing Will Be Fine” and “Spotlight” playing at the festival. She was also part of Jason Reitman’s Live Read of “The Princess Bride”.

The 23rd Annual Hamptons Film Festival announced earlier this week that “Spotlight” will play as one of the centerpiece selections. The movie will screen on Saturday, October 10. The festival runs from October 8-12 and for more information be sure to head over to the official website.

Total Film UK Scans (September 2015)

The magazine scans of Total Film (UK) have been added in our gallery. Many thanks to my friend Luciana for donating them. We added the full interview transcript in our press archive. Excerpts of the interview can be found below. Rachel talks about “True Detective“, “Aloha” and “Southpaw“.

On True Detective: “The material’s so dark it almost allowed the time when you weren’t at work to be very light. So there was a levity around the work that allowed you to really focus when you needed to, but there wasn’t this heaviness on set. Taylor has a really great, unexpected sense of humour that kind of catches you by surprise, Colin is Irish so… [laughs] you know, and then Vince is just so smart – I was amazed at the ways in which Vince could make things funny with this material.”

On Getting Involved in True Detective Season 2: ” I had a Skype [call] with Nic [Pizzolatto, creator and writer] first and that’s where it began. I read a couple of the episodes and hit the ground running.”

Popcorn with Peter Travers

Rachel stopped by ABC’s Popcorn with Peter Travers while she was in New York to promote “Southpaw” last week. The episode was released today and she talked about “Southpaw“, “True Detective” and her career. We have added the interview in our video archive and the high definition screencaptures can be found in our gallery. This has to be one of our favorite interviews of this press tour. It’s really nice to hear Rachel talk about her career in a more in-depth way.

“Southpaw” & “True Detective” Interviews Round-Up

While trying to keep up with all the promotion for “Southpaw” these past few weeks we got a little behind on other updates. We spend the past few days trying to catch up now that the promotion for the movie wrapped up since it’s theatrical release in the U.S. First up is our press interview round-up: Our press archives have been updated with all the latest interviews Rachel did over the past few weeks to promote “Southpaw” and she also frequently talked about “True Detective” and her other upcoming movie “Spotlight“. We added the magazine related scans in our gallery and also added a bunch of clippings which mostly feature reviews.

On playing grittier roles: “I’ve always been interested in doing that [playing grittier parts]. I don’t really want to repeat myself. For the most part, I always want to be doing something new. But there aren’t a lot of gritty roles out there for women, and they are so fun to play everyone wants them. It’s not that I didn’t want to do them. It’s just competitive!” (Times)

On meeting Jared Leto: “I met Jared Leto the other night and didn’t recognize him. I met him very randomly at a U2 concert, and he has green hair for [Suicide Squad], and I was such a loser and didn’t know who it was, and then later I was like, ‘Oh my God, if my 14-year-old self was standing right there shaking Jordan Catalano’s hand, I would have…’ I was already being super uncool, but I would have been a puddle on the ground!” (Glamour)

On using boxing to prepare: ” I did get to do boxing to prep, which was amazing. It was such a great workout. I actually carried it over into True Detective. I thought it would be a good mode of exercise for that character too.” (Yahoo! Style)

Stay tuned! We are working on more updates so be sure to come back later.

Los Angeles Times Interview: Rachel McAdams does fame her way

Amy Kaufman from the Los Angeles Times sat down with Rachel to promote “Southpaw” and “True Detective“. The interview also features quotes from her co-stars Colin Farrel & Jake Gyllenhaal and “Spotlight” director Tom McCarthy. We have added the first photoshoot outtakes in our gallery and the full interview in our press archive. Excerpts can be found below.

On her imagined career: “But it [becoming a movie star] wasn’t something I really meditated on or planned for in any way. I really thought I’d be doing theater in Canada. I’d grown up doing children’s theater there, and I always imagined myself being artistic director of a children’s theater company.”

On being ‘picky’ with roles: “If I’m picky, it’s for that reason. I want to be able to bring my best to the table. So if I’m not connecting to something, then I’m not gonna hold up my end of the bargain, and that’s really embarrassing.”

On Marvel’s Doctor Strange Rumors: “It’s still super-early days, and I don’t know where that’s gonna go, if it’s gonna go anywhere at all.”
