Quotes on the looks

ShoWest Awards – April 2, 2009
Emanuel Ungaro – “When your clothes are more classic, you can bring in funkiness and edge with accessories, Either with jewelry like layered rings, color with the bag, or the highest heels possible.”
Rob Zangardi, Instyle
The Time Traveler’s Wife, New York premiere – August 12, 2009
Emilio Pucci – “This was a little risky, even for me. I had little panic moment before I went out the door. But it’s good to go out on a limb every now and then.”
Rachel McAdams, Instyle
Sherlock Holmes, London premiere – December 14, 2009
Andrew Gn – “We loved this dress because it fit perfectly and hugged in all the right places. There’s a mix of two styles here: modern with the crystal embellishment around the chest, and ethereal with the flowing fabric.”
Mariel Haenn, Instyle
Sherlock Holmes, New York premiere – December 17, 2009
Jasmine Di Milo bustier, Malandrino pants – “I think I got some flak for this look. But it’s fun to wear pants for the evening sometimes.”
Rachel McAdams, Instyle

“She rarely goes safe, pants with a bustier keeps it interesting.”
Rob Zangardi, Instyle

Sherlock Holmes, Madrid premiere – January 13, 2010
Vionnent – “I love nude hues, and retro looks tend to work on my body. Although this outfit was a bit precarious. If I moved my shoulder the wrong way, the whole dress came off!”
Rachel McAdams, Instyle
Cannes Film Festival, Midnight in Paris premiere – May 11, 2011
Marchesa – “Compared to her Oscar look, we talked about being a little more edgy, and more couture. There’s definitely the opportunity to go more edgy, and high-end even. A lot of the couture houses come out for these sorts of projects”
Rob Zangardi, Little black dress
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Los Angeles premiere – December 16, 2011
Marchesa – “The shoes I wore were like little Christian Louboutin glass slippers, along with this beautiful silver lace gown. You take it off and it’s really weird, because it’s all borrowed and you feel like a pumpkin.”
Rachel McAdams, Little black dress
